Hello! I'm Ming Yang.
I am currently a fourth-year student at Vanderbilt University, majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology and Medical, Health, and Society.
American college entrance exams are really tough, aren’t they? I also felt a lot of stress during my exam preparation period, so I understand students’ feelings very well. That’s why I want to support you wholeheartedly in easing that burden and achieving your desired university admission!
I took various SAT/ACT prep courses in high school and learned their respective methods. Leveraging that experience, I tailor effective learning methods to each student. I’ve taught many high school students for the SAT/ACT, and on average, I’ve helped them improve their scores by 100 to 200 points or more.
Incidentally, my own scores were 1570 on the SAT (790 in Math, 780 in English) and 35 on the ACT (out of 36). Being close in age to high school students, I think it’s a strength that students can relax and take my classes!
Over the past two years, I’ve tutored more than 20 students. One student, for example, had an SAT score in the 1000-1100 range and was aiming for Baylor University (which requires an average of 1200-1300). Initially, they had a strong aversion to the subject, but as we studied together, their motivation increased, and they ultimately reached their target score and were successfully admitted!
