FAQs for Students & Parents

Selecting a tutor understanding your needs is crucial to your child’s success. To help achieve their educational growth, TutorZest will hand pick the best tutor from our pool who matches your child’s grade and academic level without straining your budget.

TutorZest’s tutors are highly qualified and certified instructors, university professors, undergraduate and graduate students, and Ph.D.’s from the best universities throughout the country. With their rich experiences and skills, TutorZest turtors can improve your child’s grades and prepare them for their dream colleges. 

First, try our 30 min. trial lesson with one of TutorZest tutors. To receive the free trial lesson, go to the “Contact Us” to fill out and submit the registration form. Please give us as detailed information as possible about the person who will receive a lesson. Then, TutorZest will carefully select the best tutor based on the information you provide. Then, the tutor will contact you to schedule the first trial lesson. The first lesson is also the best time for consultation. Please talk about your specific needs and goals with the tutor at that time. After the lesson, TutorZest will contact you to discuss your experience, and you can let us know your decision on whether or not you would like to continue.

It varies. However, considering our high-quality tutoring service, the fees are affordable. Fees are set based on the tutor’s experience, subject they teach, and the level of the student they teach.

You will receive an welcome email first that include a link for you to create your own account. After your lesson schedules are set, then you will receive another email that include a link to pay the tuition for the upcoming 4 weeks via the TutorZest’s integrated credit-card-payment system “Stripe.” Stripe accepts credit cards issued in any countries.

Yes, you can take lessons in multiple subject areas at the same time.

Anyone in any part of the world can study with TutorZest’s tutors as long as they have access to the Internet. TutorZest tutors are highly qualified teachers and enthusiastic to help students from any part of the world reach their dream. 

Get lessons in ESL (English as a second language), test preparation such as SAT, AP, TOEFL, ILETS, GRE, MCAT, GMAT, etc., or any other subjects. You may simply improve your test scores or school grades. Lean American English with a native speaker with the TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) background.

FAQs for Tutors

TutorZest cares about the tutors as much our clients. We value individual tutors and understand that the success of our clients depends on their wellbeing. Therefore, we encourage tutors to tell us about their concerns and let them adjust their schedule as needed. We strongly believe that when tutors enjoy teaching, students can also enjoy learning that would positively impact their learning outcomes. 

  1. You must have a degree or be majoring in the subject or related areas you wish to teach.
  2. You must have a minimum of one year of teaching or tutoring experience.
  3. You must be legally able to work in the United States.
  4. You must pass a background check that includes the criminal record.

The status of TutorZest’s tutor is an independent contractor, the tax form 1099.  You are free to work on your own schedule, and on your own teaching method, and you are free to create your own cancelation policy, late attendance policy, or no-show policy.  

It is possible. Before you assign a new job, check the time zone with TutorZest.  If you have a student overseas, you might have to consider teaching during odd times.  The more scheduling flexibility you offer, the more tutoring opportunities you will have. 

Almost our tutoring service are online, but there are a few in-person teaching jobs available.

We will send an email or a text to you when a new job is created, or you can find the new job listed as “available” on our portal. Please let us know if you are interested in any new teaching jobs.
